» Poem: I See Myself |
I See Myself
written by bleedblack09:20 PM 9/13/04speachless,
lost in motion.
spinning in this portal
that runs through
my shattered past.
i see myself
as a young child
happy and bound
by the walls of ignorance.
i see myself
grow, things
so peachy and bright
not knowing the
deadly future that
awaits me.
i see myself
in the present
broken away from
the walls that
kept me safe.
i'm spinning in
a downward
spiral to the
hell that has
captured me.
i awake ...
my eyes wider
than the ring
that circles my lips.
i have been
dreaming a nightmare.
i realize i hate
who i am
and the only way
to fix it
is to die.
i raise the blade
that i fell asleep with,
seeing the blood
that has started
to settle and dry.
i slit along the
tracks of this
never ending railroad.
watching the blood pour
from my vein.
i start to see my family
crying from their loss.
i reach out to them
but they can't feel me.
I'm already gone. |

Wow. That poem was really....deep. I cried over it. You have a way with words. |
