» Poem: Our Same Differences
Our Same Differences
written by Poison Ivy
03:28 AM 9/18/04
Running away from everything i hold dear
running closer to everything i once feared
every thought running though my mind
drags me back to that memory vault
all the times it was my fault
all the chances to get my first kiss
the times i should have taken
i did resist
the wounds on myself
made and healed by me
separates me and you from this reality
all for one and one for all
make a toast
for the reason you cant recall
alive in ours graves
but we are to blind to see
that your not all so different from me
i bleed and i cry
i count the reasons why i should lie
i have a guilt and a state of mind
and i am different from every kind
we share the hate for each other
we know we should help one another
but sadly we are compelled with greed
and hoping our wildest dreams will somehow succeed
we are different
we are the same
but there’s always someone else to blame. . .
