» Poem: church is sickening
church is sickening
written by Poison Ivy
04:22 AM 9/18/04
Bound my the bitter sting of sin
and poisoned by the sound of worship
pierced by the sound of prayer
and mutilated by the sight of other’s joy.
The sickening touch of holy water
and disgusted by the smell of anointing oil
the taste of gods bread and wine
is like vinegar and dirt on my taste buds
the sound of worship ringing in my ear
id rather hear glass breaking
or nails on a chalkboard
dancing and holy ghosts
haunt my evil and naked soul
because i am willingly bound by the bitter sting of sin
