Moment to remember

This is one of the happiest moments I’ve ever had
He got down on one knee and hoped for the best
That began my crying fest
He asked for my hand
Instantly my knees got weak, I could barely stand
I’ll never forget the look in his eye
I began to blush I was so shy
That was the moment ill never forget
I remember the day when we first met
Our paths passed while walking down the hall
I had told my friend he was hottest of all
In 11th grade you think you’re looking for love
In 11th grade you look for the one from above
I got the courage to tell him hi
And as I walked away I let out a loud sigh
I remember that like it was yesterday
I had no idea what to do or say
And now 5 years down the road
My brain is having an overload
I wanted to speak but it wouldn’t come out
With this pause his face turned to doubt
I began to shake my head yes
I imagined myself in a wedding dress
I’ve waited for this day since I was young
And now at last the wedding bells have rung
Now its been years numbering 4
And I hope we’re together for many more |
