Goodbye

she's ever owned,
every piece of HER
she's ever loaned.
Away from everything
she's ever seen,
every mysterious plot
she's planned to scheme.
Away from everything
she holds as fears,
every hand she's lost
to dry her tears.
Away from everything
she's ever been,
every destined role
she couldn't win.
Away from everything
she's ever dreamed,
every friend she's had
or so it seemed.
Away from everything
she's ever learned,
every fire she's ever
witnessed burn.
Away from everything
she's ever lacked,
every moment gone
she can't bring back.
Away from everything
she'll never know,
so with an open heart
and an unzippered soul,
she now lets go... |
