Just for Attention...

Disoriented figure.
Out of place.
Out of rythem.
Out of her own control.
Who is she fooling?
Trying so desperately
to get attention.
Revealing every asset
of her innermost possessions.
Helplessly starving
for just one glare.
Notice how they
stop and stare.
If even for that moment,
a smile overpowers
her darkened face.
Full of acceptance in some way,
in every way.
Known to be alive.
To now exist in someone's eyes.
And that's all
that matters right now,
no more saddened little child,
say goodbye to every pain,
until returning to that world
where she lives with no name. |
