» Poem: Empty Eyes Pt. 1
Empty Eyes Pt. 1
written by lost_cause
10:34 PM 9/21/04
I look in the mirror
I long to see more
Than the pair of empty eyes
That have become a bore
I look deep inside
The pools of deep green
No sparkle or joy
Have I seen
So lost and confused
Engulfed in the dark
I wish for my eyes
To set off a spark
The light I once had
Has been thrown away
My reflection is cloudy
And yet I stay
I stare at my eyes
The dull, lifeless sight
Where is the love,
The sparkle, the light?
