When you don't believe...

then comes along the one thing you don't know?
It takes control over your body,
and takes ownership of your mind.
It makes you do things you'd normally
think twice before doing,
and you feel you're tied up with unbreakable ropes...
You know when you wish you could run
and just keep running and running and running?
Until that little voice in your head
tells you to stop and think,
only you don't wanna think because
you need to get away,
your inner self is thriving for an escape,
but still remains that little voice
that stops you in your tracks...
You know when you feel so sure of everything,
when you feel you have it all under control?
Then comes along that familiar feeling, confusion.
It makes your life unbearable to live, and leaves
you undecided of all you've built and created.
It makes you unsure of who you are
and the person who dream to become...
You know when you have no goals
to turn into dreams,
and no dreams to turn into reality?
And just when you thought things
couldn't get any worse,
something walks into your life and becomes
a big part of you.
It tries to overpower and surround you
in its world, which you can not escape from,
it's more than determined to pull
that doubt out of you and make you believe...
And then you find that opening.
That stich of light that you pushed away before,
is now holding its hand out to you,
willing to help you through anything.
It takes the place of confusion and becomes
your very best friend.
You no longer see the darkest hours,
you begin to notice the brightest days,
and this is the one thing you were afraid of
in the very beginning because you didn't believe. |
