» Poem: I Stand Alone
I Stand Alone

I thought I loved you,
but what did I know,
I was just a girl
who you let go.
I'm left with your memory
and photo in a frame,
all by myself, playin this game.
We were in it together,
but now I'm on my own,
deserted and empty,
I stand alone.
I anticiapte for the day
when you will return,
with the liter or match
for the fire to burn.
With the lock or key
to open the door,
allowing me to share
your love once more.
I didn't realize then
what a price I'd pay,
to give out my heart
each night and day.
To fulfill your desires,
and end your strife,
for your every need,
I devoted my life.
I gave my all
for you to see,
how much you meant
the world to me.
But you went away,
what else could I do?
What else could I try
to accomplish for you?
What's sad, is that I needed you,
more than you'd have known,
now my days are all the same,
as I stand alone.
