Life's last moments-The thoughts
written by rjcww07:43 PM 9/27/04As her life ebbed away,
She looked back on her life,
On the pain, the bitterness,
the sadness and loneliness.
No-one understood her,
So she was left alone,
To deal with her pain,
Solely.
Few people cared,
Or gave a damn,
So there was no-one to help share,
her never-ending sadness with,
No-one to help lift this weight off her shoulder,
To help her carry all the things wrong in her life,
She knew in her heart the were people worse off,
And for them she cried many a tear,
Her face was pale, with tear marks so evident,
As if the flowing tears and eroded her skin,
She stared at her blood,
Staining the cream carpet,
In her head she could hear her mother's screams,
But they wouldn't be for her,
Oh no, the expensive carpet would be her only care,
Her father would shed a tear,
For is forever gone daughter,
But that would be all,
She was used to neglect,
But still she thought her father loved her,
He did deep down but couldn't show it,
Maybe if he'd expressed his feelings,
The knife would be un-used in stead of lying on the carpet,
She was near the end now,
She knew it was her time,
She took her few final breaths,
And for a few brief moments,
She was filled with pure bliss and happiness,
Her pain gone,
The weight lifted,
And a smile crossed her face,
And with that...she died. |

(I'm not sure where I got this idea from, I just started typing and coulnd't stop. I think my hatred for my brother helped me write it. He's a prick and is always making mean comments and hitting me. [ View rjcww's Profile ] [ Go to the Poetry Portal ] This Poem has been viewed 90 times
