» Poem: home, alone
home, alone
written by SilentScreamsofDeath
07:34 PM 10/4/04
When I am home, alone,
I can be myself
Fake smiles are only
when the world comes to call
In an empty room
I have no flaws
But here, with you,
It's all I am made of
The urge to break away
find shelter from living
Is as strong as eating and
breathing by right
Pain sneaks through my day
with feelings receding
Hope sets with dusk
and smothers my night
