Sorry Joey
written by Trapezium06:29 PM 10/7/04Forcing back my tears,
See my struggle deep within,
I laugh and I joke to hide my own insecurities,
I plead as I'm bleeding.
I cry into my pillow at night,
I scrunch up into a ball,
Needing your voice to go on,
Just waiting for your call.
I know I'll never hear your voice,
Or feel your touch again,
I know your dead but without you,
I swear I'll go insane.
I can't listen to your laughing,
As we play out in the sun,
Happy days soon turned to storms,
When you picked up that gun.
Once blooming flowers wilted,
A dreariness built up inside,
I laughed all day and carried a smile,
That was until you died.
I know it must have been hard,
But I went through the same,
We were in it together,
We saw the same things; we shared the pain.
I remember in the garage,
The look in Sam's brown eyes,
Tears streaming down his darkened face,
His last moments filled with cries.
You kissed him goodbye,
And I stayed close to your hand,
As foolish as I was; I left you,
You made one final demand.
I walked in on an open drawer,
And a gun pointing at your face,
Two best freinds live's demolished,
I gotta say it put me in my place.
I shook that night,
I was so cold and lonely,
Two beautiful lives ripped apart,
I am so sorry Joey. |
