wondering why

Why do we have this urge, to run away and hide?
Why do we create for ourselves a much harder task?
Why do we deprive ourselves of happiness, and construct a mask?
Why do we blindly put ourselves up for attack?
Why do we keep going, not looking back?
Why do we continue putting ourselves down?
Why do we expect our flaws never to be found?
Why don’t we confess to everyone our fears?
Why do we try to hide our tears?
While wondering why
Another wishes they would die
While pondering the thought
another gun has been shot |
