Stories of Shadows

And Fading, cause it wont be the same
And all night, I lie and think of you
It aint right, to leave me here so blue.
Gimme something to lean on
Gimme something to dream on
This shattered heart aint that strong
And I need something to keep me from
All the shadows
That cover up my heart
The shadows
That keep me in the dark
But you’re the Light
That will shine in the night
And you’re the Sight
That helps me see right
Hiding, lurking, running, searching
All night long it feeds my fear.
Fighting, hurting, and its working
Twice as strong it draws me near…
Near the Shadows
And the Pain
And all the players
Of that game
I need you here
To keep me strong
And tell me that
There’s nothing wrong.
Keep me from the Shadows
Keep me from the Cold
Let them all be stories
Stories that I’ve told. |
