I Don't Know...

If I’ll be here tomorrow,
Or if my life will end in sorrow.
Will I lose someone close to me?
How are my friends and family?
I don’t know.
I wish it would all go my way
I wish all pain would just fly away.
Who would I help? What would I do?
It’s all too much-I’m so confused.
I don’t know.
“I don’t know”
Always the answer for questions too hard,
Always the truth, it’s out of my reach, too far.
Why can’t we all just be happy and without pain?
What’s the point of this life? Will it all be in vain?
Don’t ask me, I don’t know.
Everyday more deaths and depression,
More broken hearts to add to the collection.
When will it all end, if even at all?
When will we be carefree, with the worst problem not going to the mall?
I’m sorry, but I don’t know.
Racism, sexism, death and more,
Child abuse and terrorist attacks make all hearts sore.
Some blame the planets, some blame Him.
What’s true can’t be seen, like in a room with a light too dim.
There’s nothing we can do, we just have to let life flow.
I would give my advice, but I don’t know, I just don't know. |
