Dear God

An' I turn away so I don't have face
the unending pain, it gives me to see
Him, just laying there, in this stone cold place.
And I breathe life into this room
determined to sweep away the gloom
to see those eyes open of their own accord
To you I pray my Father, my Lord
And with the life I intend to give
I pray all those people to live
To all those families, at least some hope
Lord I pray, help me to cope.
As I sit here, I see him die
Oh please God, don't let me cry
Can you hear me? Is this true?
Aren't I speaking loud enough for you?
His heart beat slower than its usual pace
Have I really fallen from your grace?
But then his eyes fluttered open for their last chance
To see his world from a far off glance
'Don't worry about me', he said 'I'll be fine
'God wants me now, it's my time
'I'll see you later my love
'Where the birds fly up above
'Hold me sweet, unto your heart
'For I know, my dear, we'll never part'
And with those words, his eyes had shut
but more lasting those words he had cut
'Hold me sweet, unto your heart
'For I know, my dear, we'll never part'
His heartrate dropped beyond return
But to her, it was of no concern
For he had gone to that very place
Where she had fallen from God's Grace. |

Alot of death has surrounded me this year and most of it has been in a hospital. So here is a girl who is watching her love die.
