» Poem: Underground Bar
Underground Bar
written by izzzy

I woke up out of a deep, deep sleep
Not knowing who I was
Everyone was surounding me
They started off with "Coz"
The roof was made of wood and dirt
There were a hell of a lot of beds
All of the people had seen better days
Everyone was dressed in their best
"Another one" They said to me
I was still confused
They pointed to a cocktail
And I said "Make that a few"
I felt I had been hit by a train
Everyone felt the same
My sides were splitting again and again
I felt a lot of pain
There was alot of flowers
A cocktail bar
And hours
'Was I in paradise' I wondered
I was tired so I crept into bed
Pulled up my lid
And thought dreams in my head
Everyone's sheets looked the same
There were three main letters
Then somebody's name
They were R. I. P.
Which kept me puzzled
till the end of eternity

Author's footnotes and comments on this Poem:
Do you get it? The guy's dead and was hit by a train. The beds are their coffins, and the bar is what the dead people go to to while away the time. All the people in this area, died because they were hit by a train.

This one is my little sister's favourite. And so I stand and dedicate this one to her.
