(despair, oh might despair, i will never be the man,
the poet, i wish you to see. where is my talent?
my superb skill with words and phrases?
do i have common will with a common pen?
words do your damage, make men feel and make
women kill in rage.
no sounds like creeley, no images like gluck.
despair for the weak when down the mighty look.
poe brought me terror, shivering with delight.
my words are nothing in his dark light.
pain in my nothingness, i wish to be more than
i am. goddess of prose and poetry give me more.)
