With all this misery - Song

Why? Because of my hunger
For the lifeblood that makes me stronger
Runs through your veins
My thirst gives me this feeling
It send me reeling
As though I am dealing
With a struggle of my own
The pain that strike you down
Is not your fault but mine
But why does society frown
Revolution is the sign
Down with the wait
Down with the love
Down with the hate
Down with the dove
Pace yourselves my friends
For this is the end
The times can not mend
For it's riddled with pains
It's winter and now there's frost
The pain it has all cost
The lives we have lost
Are left there in the Zone
The sight sends you to search
For what's left of time
It gets you in a lurch
No money, no dime
See the life blood
Shed on the ground
Mixed with the mud
No love is found
Some think that it's the sex
That is the main hex
But watch out or they'll vex
The life out of your soul
You think that it's the last trial
And you'll have to wait a while
Before you walk the last mile
In someone else's shoes
See the rain fall down
Here on Hallowed ground
It'll send some person's hound
Straight back into town
See the stars up in the sky
They are the souls of those gone by
A place which is ruled by one guy
Who has an almighty role
They long for us to be free
In lands of harmony
A job taken on by me
Will it give the world the blues
From all that you have learnt
Throughout all history
Why do we keep getting burnt
With all this misery? |
