» Poem: Should I Believe You
Should I Believe You
written by bleedblack

Should I believe you
Or just turn my head
And move on in life
Without you there
Should I take you back
Or let you go
And find someone new
It’s hard to know
I thought I loved you
And we were meant to be
Then things went wrong
Now love questions me
I broke the promise
Then you got me back
What a childish way
For both of us to act
I’m sorry for
The things I’ve done
They were mistakes
Just ways to run
From the pain
I held inside
From the pain
I could not hide
I didn’t mean
To hurt you at all
It was just another
One of my falls
I need you there
To break them for me
I cannot do it alone
I need you to see
How much I need you
Here by my side
So I can come into the light
And not always hide
But is what you tell me
What I want to hear
Or is it really real
What do I have to fear
I want to think
Your words are true
How should I know
Should I believe you
