Why is oblivion?
written by izzzy07:23 AM 10/18/04Down as I feel
No one notices me
Lost in a world
In which they name reality
Can anything else go wron
When all I feel is down
No energy, No life, no laughter
More muscles it takes to frown
Hunger ebbs away at my life
No face movements, it's to hard
Two supose-ed friends
Yet no birthday card
I know I should feel happy
When all I can do is cry
This feeling wells up inside of me
Then the age old question - Why? |

The title "Why is oblivion?" can be taken two ways, Why /is/ oblivion? as in why does it exist and Why is /oblivion/? What is it? The person in the poem realises that they are empty inside, that there is no reason for them to live hence the title being so open ended.
