» Poem: Outsider
Outsider
written by izzzy

Painful as they seem, I dare to dream
About the life I could have had
The different rode I took
Their vacant dismissive look
Though many think I'm mad

They cross my path, the aftermath
Of the dreadful life I lead
The pain they cause
Without a clause
Though many, unlike me, without deed

A tear shed from my eye, the awful lie
Spread from your unkindly lips
The truth never so harsh
Like the mountain in a marsh
Or the sun excluded from the eclipse

Can a sun be excluded from an eclipse? Therefore is it harsh?
