» Poem: It begins and ends with silence
It begins and ends with silence
written by izzzy
07:39 AM 10/18/04
Silence rings destructively into the abyss
Destroying lives
Murdering houses
Awakening the dead with an almighty thud
Silence rung throughout the earth and the universe
Killing song
Making evil reborn again
into the light of darkness
Silence rang into the soul of man himself
Chilling his heart
Beating his hopes
Decapitating his dreams
Silence in song, soothed the harshly
created lives
Shattered by silence

Author's footnotes and comments on this Poem:
It begins and ends with silence, giving silence a persona by the extensive use of sibilence. (Repition of the 's' sound only). Is silence a good thing after all?
