out with the old

Where I was bitter and my heart was cold
I’m stopping all the ways of my past
The old ways have stopped really fast
I cannot return to what I used to be
I’ll never go back to the old me
You’ve given me a new reason for hope
You keep me from being in a constant mope
You prevent me from my usual depressing ways
Where I don’t smile for several days
In the hole where I should have a heart
Is beginning to grow and that’s a start
You’ve given me a reason to begin new
I’m going to be just fine, thanks to you |
