» Poem: Hopeful end
Hopeful end
written by IceBound
03:14 AM 10/22/04
thinking back to that fateful day
when i said i love you,
i see now why i gave in.
for some strange reason,
i felt, at that moment,
as clueless as my brother...
on a good day!
I know that there's nothing humorous about this,
but i'm trying to make light of the situation.
I meant what i said,
and i don't regret it.
but i do regret not waiting
till the time was right.
i'm sorry if i freaked you out,
sorry if you scared.
all i want is to be honest when i can,
but i feel the egg shells cracking
underneath my feet,
feel the coming tide.
i'll soon be washed away,
and i hope that it's you i wash up next to
cuz by that time, i'll know my journey has ended.
