Everyone looks so wonderful,
As they laugh and hold hands,
As they smile then look away,
As they smile again,
And laughter fills the day.
I must look so ugly,
As I sit in the corner,
Looking through the crowds,
Looking at empty mirrors,
And the darkness that shrouds.
I wonder if they're all wearing masks,
Much like my own,
The one that fell of ages ago,
My depression slowly seeped through,
And my true feelings were on show.
I wonder if there's anyone out there,
With troubles such as mine,
Can anyone hear my cries?
Can they hear the darkness engulfing my thoughts,
Can they see through my lies? |
