» Poem: The day you died |
The day you died
written by Trapezium09:16 AM 10/25/04The leaves are blowing in the wind,
Flying off the old apple tree,
I waited for you to tell me it will be OK,
You still haven't shown yourself to me.
I know you're still around; you have to be,
Are you still here with me laughing,
Will you be my christmas spirit,
Or will you forever leave me crying.
Will this Christmas be like the last,
With me trying to remember your voice,
Will I be surrounded in lies and pain,
Or will you choose my choice.
The sad song plays ever louder,
The song played at your death bed,
The wind blows ever harder,
And I realise I'm alone; my dread.
I remember the day that you died,
Joey joined you so why couldn't I,
They said you lived a happy life,
If they only knew how you'd cry.
If only I could have stopped your bloody suicide,
If I could have taken your pain away,
Maybe I'd still have you as my best freind,
Maybe you'd be here today. |

This is a poem for Sam, who never got a funeral, who was denied the truth. His father abused him, then when he died. The parents lied, they said he'd moved to another city.
