» Poem: So we jump |
So we jump
written by IceBound02:41 PM 10/26/04there is no need for tests or answers,
you are what you are,
now realizing the truth, it's like a cancer.
i know what iam, i know what this could be,
finally at the bottom of the bottle,
a repetetive routine,
i know that there is no time,
please just bare with me.
the hardship of the everyday smiles,
i'll admit, they are getting harder to fake,
holding it all in, and all the while,
pretending to be something i am not, i now take
this oath to be true
for i've been caught,
the last thing i want to do is hurt you.
the reason for writing out of self-pity, ungrateful
having to put up with all this shit, a hand full.
i'm blind in and out of myself tonight,
looking behind me, then left to right,
looking forward now, i see the light,
reaching out, i grasp her hand tight,
now at the cliff's edge, despite
the depth, we both know this feeling,
this feeling of falling, it feels so right. |
