» Poem: Only Human
Only Human
written by IceBound

no matter how hard i try,
i still can't seem to get it out of my head
in trying to erase the memories
i've invited in another for this misery
a vision caught in her head
i wish i could take it away
but that image is imbeded
it's there to stay
why it had to be this way
for her to see me that day
only god would know
and right now, i'm lost, just tying to go with the flow
but i'm sure she's just as lost as me
wonderin how me and that girl could ever be
together for how long we were
i know how she feels all to well, i'm sorry for the obscure
picture inside her head now
looking back, i've got myself saying wow,
how could i have been so naive
i thank god i was smart enough to leave
i can only hope she understands my reason
for doing what i did, i'm only human
