Aftermath

with my girl beside me, feelin so happy
i could tell the whole world that i've finally won the fight
i'm writin this poem in response to Alcoholic's Anonymous
as hard as it was to let go, i wanted this
to end, to be over, and although i was at a big Dis-
advantage, the temptation wasn't enough
to take the drink, to try and hide it, try to bluff
my way into forgiveness
it's all over now, anger's kiss is finally fading away
girlfriend doming out of the showdows, her words coming into play
all i know is i've miss her, i swear to you babe,
my love's here to stay |
