You're My Hero

you were always by my side
all the times that I cried
you held me tight
whenever I'm having a bad day
you make me smile
everytime I fell
you never catched me
but, helped me up
You helped me get over
"the big mistake"
and took away
the razor blade
you said it wasn't worth it
it was stupid and I'm better than that
I cried for hours
you convinced me not to do it
and I listened
I know you wanted
whats best for me
because you're my big brother
but now your heart is broken
and you're pushing me away
you tell me you don't want to deal with this
you want to run away
you're crying now
but you won't let me hold you
you won't let go of the razor blade
you say you don't care
our close bond
is slowly coming undone
then faster and faster
you're falling and
all I can do is watch
you know you need me
but, you don't call out for me
I know you're hurting
and you feel you can't live without her
let me help you
let me be the one that
will always be by your side
to hold you tight
through all the times you cry
to make you smile
on a bad day
to help you up
when you fall
to take away the razor blade
and to tell you that
you're better than that
that it's not worth it
It's my turn
let me help you
you're my hero,
let me be yours |
