More Than Anything

more than anything
but, my past holds me back
I want to tell you everything,
all of my life's pain
.......I can't
my mouth won't tell you
what my heart wants to say
I look into your eyes,
I see how much you love me
I want you to know
everything about me
I don't want to hold back
it's hard for me
to tell anybody
anything about me
I don't trust too many people
not that I don't trust you
I just still feel the pain and
the scar on my back
I need you to understand that
even though I won't tell you
everything about my past right now
....like you've done with me
doesn't mean
I'm not going to tell you
I just need time
I swear you'll know me
better than I know myself
all I need is for you to
please be understanding,
give me some time
and I'll open up to you
cause I want to take your hand
more than anything |
