» Poem: The Dog
The Dog
written by DontFearAConcequence
01:22 AM 11/2/04
The dog lays dead, mangled on the kitchen floor
Dad made sure he wont bark anymore
Shot twice in the head, I see parts of his brain
Inside his body, no blood remains
It was an unfair fight, dog against man
I tried to help; I did all that I can
I’m covered in the warm, deep red blood
From my eyes, these salty tears flood
Sitting there hugging my doggy oh-so-tight
I try to erase these visions of the fight
The dog didn’t know better, he was protecting me
He attacked that bitch, for reasons I agree
We share the same hatred for this unlawful affair
He’s cheating on mom, but he doesn’t care
He feels regret for cheating on his wife
He’s nervous, paranoid and rethinks every choice twice
Holding my dead dog, screaming out in vain
Turning towards dad, now I feel the dog’s pain
