Hello stranger

I'll see you again
when he comes to
take me to heaven
how is it that
I love you so much
without knowing you
I've never met you
but it hurts to know
you're not with me
is there a difference
between not knowing you
and talking to a stranger?
I don't understand why
you had to become
a stranger
I wait for the day I'll meet you
what if you don't recognize me?
and walk right past me
like I'm another face in the crowd
how do I know you're waiting for me too?
or are you just waiting for
the ones from your time
on earth
are you really watching over me?
or am I invisible
in your eyes?
will you be waiting for me
in the gates of heaven,
or will I walk in alone?
if you are there waiting for me
I'll have no idea what to say
I know myself.....
I know what I'll do....
Hug you and cry
and say
"Hello stranger" |
