» Poem: My own stranger |
My own stranger
written by Trapezium04:51 PM 11/2/04Nothing's moving,
It's like a horror movie on pause to take a rest,
Dark looming trees,
Bat's flying across the still backdrop; so lifeless.
And as the sun goes down,
Here begins a restless night,
And as the moon looms in the sky,
I lay silently out of sight.
A soulless whirr,
Rings in my numb-red ears,
The clouds cover the moon,
And lay there for what seems like years.
As I lay down still,
Thoughts come flooding back to me,
The day my father left,
Such a bad memory.
I lay there crying,
Stars shine bright,
And the world passes by,
Stay with me tonight.
I need someone to hold me in their arms,
Just tell me it'll be ok,
Maybe if I had someone by my side,
I could smile another day.
Instead I walk on,
And I swagger into danger,
I fall backwards and pick myself up,
I am my own stranger. |

My poems are "sad" because I'm going through a depressed phrase. Isn't it funny how you think I write rubbish, but your poetry is worse then i_love_sandy 's? Isn't it stupid how everyone except you likes my poetry? Isn't it stupid that someone whom knows nothing about poetry, untruthfully critiscises everything a "poetic genius"(quote) does? |
