Another for the Empty
written by IceBound05:14 PM 11/2/04i hate it when this shit happens
a simple good bye meant more than nothing
and nothing is all that was said
preoccupied with the meaningless surroundings
i never once stepped over to you
what the hell was i thinking?
i wasn't, that's just it
what was wrong with me today?
said good-bye and it was let at that
i could tell you were mad, yet i did nothing
still walking out the door, not looking back
i crossed the point of no return
or so i thought, i could've turned back
i could have listened to that little voice inside,
"Stop...go to her..."
yet i didn't, and i could tell it upset you
as i left, not even a glance over,
at least our eyes could've said good-bye
another sorry for one of my mistakes
another eggshell has cracked underneath me
i'm missin you right now, more than i should
i would say sorry babe, but would you even believe me? |
