He Loves Me Not

Plucked by my hand
Softly falling
Lain to rest...
Upon the Earth
To rot to nothing
A childhood rhyme
Repeats...
I can't escape it...
For it holds my fear...
The words pass my lips,
...He loves me...He loves me not...He loves me...
The stem looks bare,
As the last petal falls away,
...He loves me not... |
