» Poem: horrors from the nursery |
horrors from the nursery
written by Poison Ivy08:09 PM 11/3/04nothing could be right
tears blacker then coal
and dreams left unfulfilled
could drown an empty soul
horrors from the nursery
and visions from behind
have left a sorrowful bed of anger
the moon a morbid shrine
beds of roses left me
talking to myself
am I still a shadow?
or has that melted as well?
I follow the river's pattern
into the endless doom
and lie to none but myself
take refuge in my room
I dreamt nothing but dying
and moaning out farewells
because tomorrow's over
I'm locked in my heart's cell
my blood spills out
I don’t even know why
I have forgotten to ask
I’ve forgotten how to cry
I'm numb in all but my wrist
and soon it will die, too
I cut since I am so lonely
and I don’t know what else to do
if this last one is fatal
and the pain never ends
I’ll remember my deadly cradle
and what I only wanted was friends
is three enough to kill?
I’ll find out soon
I’ll remember ay ache
and die with the lonely moon |
