» Poem: Our Last
Our Last
written by pongster182

He and I,
dancing through the fields...
The cold gray clouds slowly
swallowed our delicate figures.

We continued dancing across
the wet dirt,
sinking into the earth,
and feeling the digesting acids of the sky.

The rain,
slowly eating away our sorrows....
it finally cleared our eyes to see
this true love.

A rare sighting these days,
but so beautiful and ugly
in every way.

We sang in silence,
tonight,
our last.
