» Poem: Last Breath
Last Breath
written by darktinkerbell

I grasp my chest
it's hard to breathe
my heart beat is slowing
my skin is getting pale
my lips purple
I feel so much pain
and so much relief
in my ear I hear you
telling me to fight
hold on
and not let go
I'm so weak
I want to be
out of this misery
I can't see you
I see the light
I step towards it
and I hear you
scream and cry
I know it hurts
to lose me
and you're wondering why
but I'm happy now
I'll be watching you
from up here....
waiting
and when it's time for you
and you're taking your
Last Breath
I'll be there
to walk with you
hand in hand
to help you
find your way home.
