*Untitled

a cross between cheap beer
and blood...
now i've gotten a whole new view
from the hugs and the kisses
to the thought of us, i love you too
it's a feeling now that i get
when i'm waitin till 2:25 p.m.
Finally get to see my love, and i'm set
i must admit, there is a conflict of trust
it's got me all caught up
i was actually ready to let this turn to dust
i know i've got respect for you, let it occur
you've got yours, i've got mine
and we've let that get in the way, it's all a blur
but the look in your eyes is reassuring
still waiting for that opportune moment
emotions now stirring
i can't get over the fact that this is it
i tried to use the excuse of drama
it was time to let that pass, think i can finally sit
and wonder about the future
what every sign is showing me
everything coming into view, like a picture
we spend our whole lives adjusting the lens
i'll admit, i'm still trying to focus mine
another figure fades, the view bends
still looking through, still persistent
observing all surroundings
focusing on the figure, just then, in an instant
it's all clear what you must do
of course, we re-adjust
just to make sure, seems to good to be true
but this may be it this time
maybe i'm moving to fast
at least i'm not falling alone, straightened the line
i'm ready to take this picture
but it's not time yet, i can see it in your eyes
you're still confused, scared for the future
worried for what's to come
so am i, sometimes i think i hide it to well
we're in this together, but i ain't goin to play dumb
i need you, more than you can see
more than today, more than tomorrow
open your eyes, don't be mislead, it's me
there's no need to worry anymore
just give this a chance, we'll both wait for what's in store |
