Darkened Streets
written by Misha_8202:01 PM 11/11/04Magic fills my soul with bitter emptiness,
The kind you like to spread around.
Like an epidemic, i will haunt these streets forever,
Being that I am your kind.
Grant me three wishes, five years has gone by,
No longer the girl who has devils beside.
I know your kind.
I've been the girl with with smoke and mirrors,
I wore the ultimate disguise,
Fill me with black embers that will close off my heart,
And blind my eyes.
Hide, in the shadows of the trees,
Believe, you have a purpose beyond a dream.
Perceive, the way you wish to be,
Change, alter, control the universe,
A fixed thought, a way to be.
After years of darkened avenues,
I am guided to a light,
It beckons me to believe in something beyond,
A faith that is neverending, an eternal fight.
Take away my days of fortune and mischief,
I will rise into the air,
This time when i am well and ready,
Steady,
The world will still be there.
Still looking up at the moon,
Knowledge within my mind,
I bask in the beauty of controlled forces,
an untampered design. |
