» Poem: Beautiful Black Roses
Beautiful Black Roses
written by darktinkerbell

why did you send me
those roses?
Why did you call?
I remember your laugh
when I opened the box
to find Beautiful Black roses
just for me
you wanted to give it another try
I refused...I didn't want your
bullshit back in my life
you said
"I'll do whatever it takes"
*I set myself up for
the greatest fall
of all time
you said you love me
more than life it's self
and you came to me
to try to make
everything better
for us to start anew
you held out a box
stupidly I took it
I opened it up
and there was....
one dozen of the most
beautiful black roses.
I heard your laugh
and I felt myself get sick
and I cried and never let go
of those Beautiful Black Roses
