» Poem: The cradle rocks
The cradle rocks
written by darktinkerbell

Again, you don't care
you're pregnanat again
and you don't want this one either
you killed this baby
and now you're crying
because you're going insane
you hear the lullabies
and the cradle rocks
you hear your regret
screaming in your ear
you tell me as if I care anymore
this baby never had a chance
to take it's first steps
to say it's first words
yet you want me to feel
sympathy for you...
for taking a life?
you want me to hold you
to tell you it's ok,
and you just made a mistake
but...I don't care
I hope those sounds haunt you
your whole life through
and I hope you realize
you can never get
your unborn baby back
I hope you go insane,
with the thoughts and sounds
as the cradle rocks
