» Poem: Trusted Silence
Trusted Silence
written by Rogue_101

Trusted silence in the wind, how I love but how I hate
Keeping me in chains of fear and chains of cheerful faith
Stringing me along for the ride but never letting your clutches fail
You're joyous on occasion but as you grow your words are like hail
Hitting hard at home and deserting when your needed
Keeping me waiting for more, yearning to be pleaded
A harsh tongue carries you, as does a harsh hand
Like a cold wind flowing across a barren land
Scraping at my ears, fire the sound I hate it!
Keep your words away; i bid you, away with it!
Keep your word far from my ears
So I can grow old for years and years.
