Lonely road
written by Trapezium05:59 PM 11/16/04Walking down a city street,
Lamp-posts illuminating the dark path I take,
Windows and doors Rattling in the wind,
The street's a dead end, my mistake.
But still I keep walking the lonely road,
Creepy blue eyes stare from the skies,
Slowing down as I near the edge,
Looking at the floor; blurred from my cries.
Wiping my eyes I run down a dark alleyway,
Two giant yellow eyes and a manic laugh,
I run into them with my eyes firmly shut,
I stumble and I fall, I'm forced to change my path.
Walking back where I come,
I'm lost; I don't know where or what I'm running to,
Just trying to find a freindly face,
I pray to goodness let me find you.
I see you there just sitting at a kerb,
I walk over to you, give you a playful shove,
I look straight into those cool blue eyes,
I smile, you laugh, we talk, in love. |
