Cut free

makes me think
of those "wonderful times"
when I used to cut myself,
it was only for a short while
but I can still remember
the cold razor on my wrist
the scars have faded,
yet I still look for them,
for comfort that I used to do it
to take away the pain
sometimes I feel like just reaching for it
and just cutting free
of all the pain everyone's putting me through
but the two people in this world
that mean everything to me
always seem to be there with me
stopping me from it,
my best friend
and my boyfriend
if it wasn't for them
I wouldn't be here today
fuck manuel,
let him keep calling,
I'm stronger than he thinks,
he doesn't know me anymore.
let Josh think he can come back into
my life and still be "my dad"
let my family's lies keep coming
I'm ready for it all
I feel I need to cut free from this
rope that's holding me in place,
only letting me go in circles,
that would be an easy soulution.....
I can't do it
I see their faces
and my best friend is
clueless to my problems right now
cutting free from my life
sounds so good,
but I resist,
because I know,
there's at least two people in my life
that still love me,
I don't want to hurt them,
so I decided not to cut free
and just to get through this
with them by my side
I know I will get through this. |
