gone

Leaving me with just the slightest lingering feeling.
The feeling of the love that I once had,
but have now lost. And can never be found again.
Once I believed in love at first sight,
Once I believed in hopes and dreams.
But that was when I was young and naïve.
Now I have leant that there is no such thing.
But strangely enough I grieve for this lost love
I disbelieved that anything so great could be true
But it seems to me that my heart told me no lies
I love him but he does he still love me.
I pushed him away with my uncalled for words,
With my hate towards life itself.
With my disbelieve in the worth of my life.
with the lies i thought i heard in his voice when he said he love me. |
