forgive me please

but that was so long ago
times have changed since then
in this poem i hope to show
what we had was amazing
an impression that will never fade
i know its been a while
but friendship was what was made
im sorry i was never in touch
but now im finally here
ill be here soon for you my friend
im forever getting near
forgive me for the distance
the time i wasnt in touch
but the time has come to say hello
our time away has been too much
can you forgive me for the quiet time
can that special friendship be again?
or has our time finaly over
the path already lain?
sorry about the time we spent
i know it wasnt that good
but i remember our final time
which i would change if i could
all i have to offer now
is what i negleted before
the trust i holded back on
thats now not here anymore
