» Poem: Choice
Choice

i always thought that life was full of choice
it's always been:
what to wear?
where to eat?
who to trust?
who to love?
you know who i choose
now my choices have been taken from me
if you see it as it is
i rolled my life throughout
inside and out, reclined, upright
i raise the mirror of my life
the world as usual, all in it's place
what is its meaning?
it's purpose?
exactly why i prefer the thoughtless
truth is never taken from another
a world turns on its hinge
carry it always by oneself
of future, present, past
now all grows dark
a palace of hell held in my hands
Choice
